Each spring, Jacksonville’s historic Springfield neighborhood opens its doors to architecture enthusiasts, history buffs, and curious visitors during the Annual Historic Springfield Tour of Homes and Gardens. This event offers a unique opportunity to explore the rich heritage and architectural beauty of one of the city’s oldest communities.​

Established in 1869, Springfield boasts a diverse collection of architectural styles, including Colonial Revival, Queen Anne, and Prairie School designs. The neighborhood’s commitment to preservation has maintained its historic charm, making it a living testament to Jacksonville’s past.​

The 46th Annual Historic Springfield Tour of Homes and Gardens is scheduled for April 26-27, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM each day.   • Tickets: Early bird tickets are available for $20 if purchased before April 24, 2025. Tickets bought on the days of the event will be $25. All tickets can be purchased online or at the starting location: the SPAR Building at 1321 N Main Street. ​
  • Navigation: Upon check-in, guests will receive a tour map and guide. While many choose to walk or bike the tour route, a complimentary shuttle service with stops at various locations will be available.​
  • Parking: Street parking is readily available. Additionally, parking is offered at 1229 N Main Street (2nd & Main).​
